Riyadh, November 28, 2024: Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism destination, and University of Tabuk (UT) celebrated the graduation of the first batch from the Red Sea Hospitality Pioneers program. The ceremony took place at UT campus in Al Wajh, under the patronage of HRH Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Tabuk Region, and was attended by students and their families.
A total of 67 graduates received intermediate diplomas in two specialized tracks: Hospitality Management and Food & Beverage Management. These diplomas are accredited by Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a globally renowned leader in the hospitality field.
The partnership between RSG and the UT paved the way for the establishment of the College of Tourism & Hospitality, created through a public-private partnership. As the first college of its kind in Saudi Arabia, it aims to provide high-quality education and train future leaders in tourism and hospitality, contributing to Saudi Vision 2030 goals.
Darwish also highlighted that the program blends theoretical education with practical training, ensuring students are well prepared for future career opportunities. He further announced that RSG is committed to offering employment opportunities for outstanding graduates within its developments or with its partners.
During the event, the President of the University of Tabuk, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ghamdi, expressed his gratitude, saying: “We extend our thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Sultan, Governor of Tabuk Region, for his unwavering commitment to development and education, and the Minister of Education for his support, which has enabled the university to achieve its national goals.”
RSG launched the program’s second edition earlier this year in collaboration with UT, expanding the reach of this pioneering initiative and reinforcing its commitment to developing national talent.
These efforts reflect RSG’s vision of empowering and up-skilling Saudi nationals in the hospitality sector, not just for the country’s tourism industry but to lead the industry globally.
