Vocational Training Program

Overview

Red Sea Global (RSG), in collaboration with Human Resources Development Fund, and in partnership with King Abdulaziz University, is offering the fourth edition of its Vocational Training Program to prepare young Saudis for different careers needed at our tourism destinations. Trainees who successfully complete the program will obtain a diploma and will be employed with our operators, subsidiaries, or partners.

Program Objectives

 

Students who successfully complete the two-year program will obtain a diploma degree and will be employed at either Red Sea Global or one of its partners.

Program tracks

Luxury Hospitality

Trainees will gain knowledge and skills in luxury hospitality in Room Operations in addition to luxury hospitality operations in Food & Beverages.

Tourism Security

Trainees will receive specialized security training for the tourism industry using specific methodologies, best practices, and techniques, improving both safety and security at the destinations.

Information Technology

Trainees will learn the tools and techniques used by today’s tourism information technology professionals to determine computing needs, provide computer and network support services, and be able to develop strategies to improve the overall effectiveness of IT services

Terms and conditions

Acceptance to the program will undergo two phases

 

Admission Criteria of Phase I (English Program):

•    Be a Saudi national and possess a valid national identity.
•    Must be registered in The National Labor Portal "TAQAT". 
•    Must not be a student, employee of the public or private sectors, have a commercial record under the Ministry of Commerce, or receive a retirement pension.
•    Not have previously obtained a grant from HRDF.
•    Present a medical certificate confirming that they are physically and psychologically fit to work in the chosen industry.
•    Be a high school graduate as a minimum, achieving a minimum GPA of 60% across all cognitive ability tests.
•    Be registered as a full-time student.
•    Applicants must be 18 years or older.
•    Provide proof of knowledge of English as a second language by undergoing the IELTS exam, or an equivalent exam from another internationally recognized test.
•    Submit all required documents during the registration stage.
•    Sign a commitment letter to work in any The Red Sea Project or any of its partners for a minimum of 3 years upon graduation.

 

Admission Criteria of Phase II (Vocational Training Program):

Upon successful completion of Phase I (English Program), students will be subject to Phase II assessment prior to the enrolment of the Vocational Training Program.

Application Process

    Apply for only one specific track

    The program will start on 1 September 2024. 
    You can apply from Date. Submissions will close on Date.

    Reviewing and Filtration 

    All required documents must be uploaded as requested - your application might not be considered if any required document is missing.

    Psychometric Assessment & Language Placement Test

    Successful applicants will be invited to complete a psychometric assessment as well as a language placement test as part of the registration process.

    Interviews

    Top ranked candidates will be invited to interviews; all interviews will be conducted face to face. Further details will be shared once candidates are selected.

  • The program covers the following:

    • Tuition fees.
    • Study tool kit (if needed), books, and uniforms.
    • SAR 1,000 monthly stipend during the English Program for three months, and SAR 2000 monthly stipend during the Vocational Training Program for 18 months only.
    • A job offer at The Red Sea destination with RSG’s operators or partners after successfully completing the program.
  • Your job will be identified based on the track you choose and the operator you work with after graduation. However, all trainees will have entry-level jobs upon graduation.
  • The program will start in September 2023. You can apply to the program starting from 25 to 30 July 2023.
  • All trainees will receive a stipend of SAR 1,000 per month during the English Program, and SAR 2,000 per month during the Vocational Training program. Please note that accommodation is not guaranteed and it is subject to availability as per King Abdulaziz University.
  • This program is designed for high school graduates. However, qualified applicants who have higher degrees and wish to join the program are welcome to apply.
