Thinking Naturally
What if the desert could thrive naturally? At The Red Sea destination, we’re making strides in that direction. Through our innovative use of natural constructed wetlands, we’re treating wastewater sustainably while creating vital habitats. This treated water is then reused for irrigation, helping to green the desert and restore the landscape – one step at a time.

Rescuing Basma the turtle
Watch the incredible moment when we release Basma, the hawksbill sea turtle, back into the Red Sea. We found Basma near Eiqat Rizk Island with ‘floating syndrome’. After help from Fakieh Aquarium and the Saudi National Center for Wildlife, she’s now back to full health.
Working at Red Sea Global
Our aim is to set new standards in regenerative tourism, sustainable development, respecting the natural world, creating opportunities for the local communities and protecting and enhancing the destination for the future.

We are
developing a regulatory framework that comprises innovative policies and strategies to facilitate our
ambitious sustainability and regeneration commitments. This includes the regulation of fisheries,
removal
of invasive species in the area, conservation zones and the expansion of green and blue habitats to
encourage regeneration and carbon sequestration.
We’ve invested heavily in innovative
construction methods such as off-site manufacturing while we are using sustainable products and
materials, for example green concrete.
