Riyadh, 04 November 2024: Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind the regenerative tourism destinations The Red Sea and AMAALA, has announced the launch of its Jeddah Consolidation Center (JCC). The center is merging operational efficiency with a steadfast commitment to environmental stewardship.

The center’s operations focus on waste management, reducing travel requirements, and eliminating delays and errors in the supply chain. By utilizing innovative trackable and returnable packaging solutions, the center consolidates goods at a central location for thorough quality checks before final transportation. This strategic approach enhances inventory management, accelerates processing times, and establishes a more reliable delivery schedule. Moreover, the JCC serves as a quality assurance hub that guarantees only the highest caliber products reach the ultra-luxury hotels within The Red Sea destination.

“Through the establishment of the Jeddah Consolidation Center, we are not just enhancing our supply chain capabilities; we are setting a new standard for sustainability in the hospitality sector”
said Michael Stockdale, Group Head of Supply Chain and Logistics at Red Sea Global.

“By prioritizing eco-friendly practices and operational excellence, we are ensuring that our luxury destinations are not only desirable but also respectful of our environment.”

Earlier this year RSG announced that its entire fleet of land vehicles is now powered either by electricity or biofuel, making it the first Saudi company to operate such as an eco-conscious supply chain. This includes vehicles servicing the JCC, significantly reducing carbon emissions and underscoring the developer’s commitment to environmentally conscious transportation.

Last year, The Red Sea welcomed its first guests, with four of its hotels now open, with Desert Rock expecting its first guests later this year. Red Sea International Airport has been receiving a regular schedule of domestic flights since September 2023 and international flights began in April 2024, with a twice-weekly route between The Red Sea and Dubai International.

A second destination, Thuwal Private Retreat, located further south will open in the coming weeks. AMAALA remains on track to welcome first guests in 2025, when the first eight resorts complete as part of Triple Bay phase one, along with Corallium and the iconic Yacht Club.
