  • On the second collaboration between RSG and SPL, the new stamps capture a historic milestone in Saudi tourism

Riyadh, 21 Sep 2025 – Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind regenerative tourism destinations The Red Sea and AMAALA, has partnered once again with Saudi Post | SPL to launch a special commemorative stamp collection celebrating the opening of Shura Island, the beating heart of The Red Sea destination.

This latest release builds on the success of the first collaboration in August 2021, when RSG and SPL introduced a six-stamp collection showcasing the natural beauty and ecological diversity of The Red Sea, including coral reefs, mangroves, and unique marine life. That collection was widely embraced by stamp collectors in Saudi Arabia and around the world.

“This collection of commemorative stamps is a powerful way to share our story with the world. In 2021, our first collaboration with SPL introduced The Red Sea to global collectors. Today, we shine a spotlight on Shura Island, which began welcoming its first guests this year,”
said Ahmad Ghazi Darwish, Group Chief Administrative Officer at Red Sea Global.

The new 2025 designs spotlight the breathtaking nature of Shura Island and its visionary Coral Bloom design concept. They reflect the harmony between responsible development and environmental preservation, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The Red Sea welcomed its first guests in 2023 and today operates five luxury resorts alongside Red Sea International Airport (RSI). Eleven additional luxury resorts are set to open on Shura Island throughout 2025, offering exceptional experiences for visitors from around the world.
