Riyadh, 1 December 2025: Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind regenerative tourism destinations The Red Sea and AMAALA, has announced the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Artisanal Company. The agreement aims to support and empower Saudi artisans and elevate the quality of their products to reflect the authenticity of Saudi culture, enhancing their presence as a significant part of visitor experiences at RSG destinations.
The signing ceremony took place on Thursday, 27 November 2025, on the sidelines of the Red Sea Classic Sailing Cup held at Turtle Bay. This partnership aims to build an integrated ecosystem to support artisans, including developing innovative production lines inspired by the heritage and legacy of the people of the Red Sea regions and incorporating these products into the company's marketing portfolio and hospitality offerings. The MoU also provides a platform for specialized training programs and workshops, as well as initiatives to incubate entrepreneurs. It also allows for the Saudi Artisanal Company to activate its distribution channels to market artisans' products, ensuring business sustainability and economic growth.
Ibrahim Al-Dulaijan, CEO of Shared Services at the Saudi Artisanal Company, said: "We are delighted to collaborate with Red Sea Global to open new horizons for Saudi crafts. This MoU will provide artisans with an exceptional platform to reach global markets through leading tourism destinations. The artisans’ products constitute a qualitative addition to the authentic experiences offered by The Red Sea destination, which has been welcoming guests since 2023, connecting them deeply with Saudi culture through its luxury resorts and Red Sea International Airport. The destination continues to strengthen its presence as it prepares to complete Phase One. Upon full completion, The Red Sea will comprise 50 resorts and luxury marinas, offering a unique model of regenerative tourism.
These heritage touches will also extend to adorn the visitor experience at AMAALA, which is gearing up to solidify its position as a leading global wellness destination, distinguished by its unique character inspired by the nature of Triple Bay. With the approaching launch of its first phase, AMAALA will provide an ideal platform to showcase Saudi artisans creativity within its facilities, which include over 3,000 hotel rooms, spa experiences, and global sports, merging luxury with the aesthetics of local heritage.
