  • The fifth edition of the Red Sea Vocational Training Program aims to prepare national talents in the fields of luxury hospitality, technical services, and wellness tourism.

Riyadh, October 7, 2025: Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind regenerative tourism destinations The Red Sea and AMAALA, has announced the signing of three new educational agreements as part of the fifth edition of the Red Sea Vocational Training Program, an employment-linked initiative in collaboration with the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF).

These partnerships – signed with Prince Mugrin University, the Higher Institute for Paper and Industrial Technologies, and Batterjee Medical College – come at a time when development across The Red Sea and AMAALA destinations is accelerating. Five hotels are now open at The Red Sea destination as well as supporting infrastructure. Last month RSG announced the upcoming opening of Shura Island, which will feature 11 hotels, residences, high-end food and beverage and retail experiences. AMAALA is on track to open later this year.

The agreements aim to equip highly skilled Saudi nationals capable of managing and operating RSG’s assets to the highest international standards while contributing to the objectives of the Human Capability Development Program, one of the key pillars of Saudi Vision 2030.

“We are not merely building tourism destinations. We are shaping a bright future for the sons and daughters of our nation. Signing these agreements with distinguished partners marks another milestone in our journey to empower a generation of Saudi professionals, not only by providing them with jobs but by enabling them to become ambassadors of authentic Saudi hospitality infused with world-class excellence. Our joy today lies in planting the seeds of success that will soon grow into leaders across our destinations,”
Eng. Ahmed Ghazi Darwish, Chief Administrative Officer at RSG.

Under the new agreements:

  • The partnership with Prince Mugrin University will see 180 students trained to obtain a diploma in luxury hospitality, specializing in culinary arts and food and beverage services. This Program will serve as the cornerstone for delivering exceptional guest experiences and reinforcing the global standing of RSG destinations within the luxury tourism landscape.
  • The first-time partnership with the Higher Institute for Paper and Industrial Technologies will train 180 students in technical services (electrical and mechanical). This initiative aims to develop the competencies required to operate and maintain RSG’s advanced and sustainable infrastructure, systems that rely on cutting-edge technologies to meet the company’s ambitious environmental goals.
  •  RSG will also continue its collaboration with Batterjee Medical Colleges to offer specialized diplomas in hotel operations and food and beverage services, as well as a second cohort of the pioneering wellness tourism program. This reflects RSG’s commitment to harnessing the rapid global growth of the wellness sector and positioning its destinations as a leading hub for this field in the region.

Launched in 2021, the Red Sea Vocational Training Program is one of RSG’s flagship human capital development initiatives. The Program has already graduated hundreds of young Saudi men and women, many of whom are now working across the company’s operations and luxury resorts that have officially opened to guests.

Dr. Sanaa Askoul, Advisor to the President of Prince Mugrin University, said: “This agreement reaffirms our shared commitment with RSG to continue fruitful collaboration in support of Vision 2030. Together, we strive to serve people and place, and to advance the hospitality and tourism sectors by preparing highly qualified Saudi professionals.”

Eng. Ali Bamsaad, CEO of the Higher Institute for Paper and Industrial Technologies, added: “This partnership reflects our dedication to enhancing the skills of Saudi youth and preparing them for the job market according to the highest standards. We believe that our collaboration with RSG will provide trainees with valuable hands-on experience by combining theoretical and practical training, equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in the Kingdom’s growing tourism sector.”

Prof. Mohammed Al-Tayeb, Executive Vice President of Batterjee Medical Colleges, also noted: “We take pride in renewing our strategic partnership with RSG. This collaboration is designed to empower national talents in emerging fields, particularly through specialized programs such as wellness tourism – the first of its kind in the region – in alignment with Vision 2030’s objectives to prepare a capable generation to lead the nation’s development journey.”

These agreements reaffirm RSG’s unwavering commitment not only to developing world-class tourism destinations but also to investing in the Kingdom’s greatest asset – its people – ensuring they remain at the heart of the success story being written along the shores of the Red Sea.
